Home Recall Check: October 2026
Recalls the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced from September 20, 2026 to October 19, 2026 · Pulled from CPSC's public recall data on October 20, 2026
The CPSC announced 37 recalls in this window. We picked out the 21 that cover things in and around a home: furniture, mattresses, heaters and fuel, lamps and batteries, yard and grill gear, baby gear, and other household items. Each one says what can go wrong, how to tell if you have it, and what the company will do. The 16 others are listed at the bottom.
If you own one: follow the notice. It says whether to stop using the product now and what the company will do for you.
This list covers recalls only. The CPSC also posts separate product safety warnings, which are not included here. You can find them on the CPSC recalls page.

How we made this
Source: the CPSC Recalls API (this edition's query), pulled October 20, 2026. We used AI to sort the recalls and rewrite them in plain words. A separate review compared every entry with the government record, and an automatic check confirms every recall appears once and every number, date, and link matches CPSC's data. Hazard and remedy wording is our plain-language summary. The linked CPSC notice is the official version. See a mistake? Email [email protected].
