Sources & Corrections

Where the information comes from

Each guide lists its sources at the bottom of the page. Safety, insurance, and legal claims trace to a government agency, code, official program, manufacturer, or other named authority. Cost figures are quoted from named publishers, with their dates and limits. See how we research.

Read the date

Each guide shows when it was last updated. Rules, prices, and products can change after that date. Check the linked source before you act on a deadline, a program rule, or a price.
